Never rain but pours - Two coming exhibitions in July

My work will be exhibited in two shows end of this month. One opens on Tue 30 July and a day before the other opens.  C'est la vie, indeed!

The last long weekend before the race

Returning Melbourne from Healesville, I wandered through TarraWarra Museum of Art.  The exhibition Vibrant Matter is showing. It is about abstract art, including a large range of big-name artists: Rosalie Gascoigne, Peter Booth, Tony Tuckson, Lindy Lee etc... A very classic white-box visiting experience. The architecture of TWMA resonates with the spirit of the surrounding landscape.

A work in progress

I am developing a series of works on spirituality as reflected through food culture in nomadic communities at this moment. Here is some snapshots of the installation that I tried out my thoughts at the seminar at the school last week.

Fiona's Big Game Hunting

I visited Heidi Museum of Modern Art for Fiona Hall: Big Game Hunting in April with a dear accompany of Talitha Kennedy. Talitha had assisted Fiona to set up her exhibition during doctumenta in Germany. It was such a treat to see the works and hear the inside stories of how these work had been made.  I was completed impressed and touched when I knew every single work of Fiona's was created and crafted herself. Such slow and controlling production process is so rare among big name artists now days.

I have sacrificed last few days from making artworks to produce a website for my own.. ( it is one of the school assignments in this semester).

It will be my first official website. It will help me reach out there - where? well. somewhere I hope.

Right now, all i want to do is to stick my head deep in my pillow and moan.
